Medicinal Herbs and Mindful Meditation - July 22, 2023, 4-6pm
Enjoy an afternoon on the farm under the beautiful canopy of the Sugar Bush at this relaxing workshop focused on medicinal herbs and meditation for anxiety and stress relief.
Visitors will be introduced to a number of herbs utilized for natural medicines. They will make their very own herbal teas to take with them.
Sara will take you through the introduction of how herbs are used for natural healing. She will provide a glimpse into the many ways the herbs can be utilized from teas to salves. We will discover the interesting uses for plants within nature or those you can plant and harvest in your own gardens. You will also learn how to preserve and prepare many of the herbs on your own. We will sample different teas that provide relaxation and stress relief.
Sara will be joined by Katherine Swope, M.Ed., LPCC-S, MDFT, a Licensed Professional Counselor. Katherine will invite you to join her through guided grounding and meditation for anxiety and stress relief. She will provide mindfulness exercises you can use in any setting when overwhelmed, stressed, or anxious. Please bring your yoga mat or a thicker blanket with you. Trust me, this is a game changer for those of us who wear many hats and sometimes forget the importance of taking care of ourselves.
After your minds and senses have been filled, we will fill your body with a wonderful light meal utilizing culinary and some healing herbs you've spent your afternoon discovering. The menu will include a chicken salad on croissant, mixed salad with fresh herb dressing, and a delightful dessert.
Your ticket will cover the cost of your project, the meditation class and the meal. If the weather is not cooperating, we will establish a rain date. There are no refunds. A limited number of tickets will be sold.
